Important Note: Lebanese travelers can use their Expired Lebanese Passport to travel to Lebanon Only. Please check with the Carrier if their system accepts the expired passports before booking the ticket, this service is available at Middle East Airlines (MEA)

• Applicants at age 18 years old and above should be present in person to apply for passport.
• Applicants at age of 18 years old and above ONLY can apply for a 10 year biometric passport,  only incase if they have a biometric passport previously.
• Applicants under the age of 18 years old can ONLY apply for a 5 year biometric passport; only incase if they have a biometric passport previously. 
• Biometric passport issued only from Lebanon for the first time.
• Biometric passport cannot be renewed.
• When it comes to minors under 18 years, both parents must be present to sign the Lebanese general security passport application.
• Minors under 18 years old with no passport photo on the civil status or Lebanese ID should be present with their parents.
• In case of divorce the applicant must present a ruling on a legitimate guardianship issued from Lebanon in order to apply for his/her children.
• Documents required are original passport with 1 copy including the residency page
• 1 copy of civil extract status must not exceed 10 years (Ikhraj Kaid Ifrady), or Lebanese ID (computerized)
• 2 recent white background photos standard size 4.3*3.5. Photos must not be as the one on Lebanese passport and not taken from an old photo
• To include his /her profession in the passport the applicant must provide a certificate that proves and identifies his/her profession.
• Fees:

      1105 AED cash for five years

      2210 AED cash for ten years

Kindly note that starting 16/01/2023, you may now issue a Biometric Passport. Applicants at the age of 18 years and above may now apply for a 10 year biometric passport only. Minors can only apply for a 5 year biometric passport. 

• Applications for new biometric passports will be sent to Lebanon by diplomatic pouch and returned to the embassy in the same way, it will take up to four months. Applicants have the option to apply for a new biometric passport using the DHL service, http://fasttracklb.dhl.com
  
• • The application can be sent through DHL  fasttracklb.dhl.com  with an additional cost of 97$ to be paid online by Credit Card.
  • DHL documents should be printed and presented at the Embassy upon applying.
  • Applying through DHL Service may take around 7-9 weeks.
